Welcome back to SCS! I am blessed to have the honor of teaching your children this year. Please don't hesitate to contact me for any reason @ lcronshaw@scsnh.com. Just a reminder that back to school night is Thursday, Sept 12th @ 6pm. I'd love to see you there! Picture Day is Monday, Sept 16th. Please have your child wear Church uniforms. Grandparent's/Special Person's Day is Friday, Sept 27th. The kiddos are excited to share their day with these special people in their lives! In regards to homework, each week the students will receive a homework packet on Monday. The packet is due completed on Friday of each week. Wednesday envelopes should be returned the following day signed by a parent. I look forward to a wonderful year ahead!
                                               

      

     SUPPLIES FOR THIRD GRADE (2019-20)     Green Notebook with a Pencil


As the school year comes to a close we turn our sights toward the beginning of a new school year.  Each child will need:


  1. soft lunch box – no hard coolers will be allowed.

  2. backpack – no large or wheeled bags will be permitted.

  3. all personal belongings and clothing clearly labeled with your child’s first and last name.


In addition to the items listed above your child you will need the following items for grade three:


24 Ticonderoga brand pencils

  • 2 red pens to use for correcting

  • 1 pencil sharpener

  • 2 hard bound composition books

  • 3 wide ruled notebooks

  • 6 different colored folders (red, blue, green, yellow, purple, orange)

  • 1 box of colored pencils

  • 1 box of crayons

  • 1 box of washable markers

  • 3 black dry erase markers

  • A pack of multiplication and division Flashcards

  • 6 yellow highlighters

  • 1 pair of scissors

  • 4 glue sticks

  • 1 zippered pencil case for pencils

  • 1 pencil box for supplies

  • 2 boxes of Kleenex

  • Clorox or Lysol Disinfecting wipes (for cleaning desks)

  • 1 container of hand wipes

  • $6.00 for Scholastic News for the year


  Students are asked to read two books of their choosing over the summer. Please check the websites for the two third grades for summer reading ideas.  Books should be chosen according to your child’s ability. A good source for appropriate books is: http://www.readkiddoread.com.
