2019 - 2020 School Year

Periodically I will update this page, including the new books added to the collection.

Be sure to check from time to time.

For the Month of November we will showcase Thanksgiving and Saints books. Selections will be brought to students' attention and made available for them to borrow if they wish.

May Our Blessed Mother and her Beloved Son Jesus watch

over you and guide you.

Both third grades will, in the Library, make crafts for the Sisters of Holy Cross Nursing Home patients. They are working on paper "turkeys" for Thanksgiving. This service project gives the students knowledge that they are helping others and it brings the patients joy.

The sixth grade finished working on tangrams, an ancient form of Chinese story telling; the students' creations will be saved for the Art Show in May. This activity dovetails into their social studies curriculum of ancient civilizations.

Both kindergartens decorated paper elephants after reading Elmer and will display them in an
"Elephant Parade" for the Art Show in the Spring.

I have been making Rosaries for over 30 years and it is my pleasure to repair students'

Rosaries whenever they are in need.

Mission Statement

Saint Catherine of Siena School, deeply rooted in it's Catholic faith, fosters spiritual

development, academic excellence, and a commitment to serve others.

One way we fulfill our "commitment to serve others" is by having both 3rd grades,

during library time, make small crafts and cards a few times throughout the year

for patients at the Sisters of Holy Cross Nursing Home. This brightens the spirits of

those who receive and is a wonderful learning experience for the students who

create and share.
